Most people who pirated software or video games were merely people, who could not afford them to begin with. Piracy is not an issue nowadays… and I would argue, that it never really was. In all seriousness though, people misunderstand piracy. Meanwhile, a mod or a pirate version of the game can enable them for you on single player, allowing you to play the game in it’s entirety In D2 some features such as ladder runewords are not available on single player on the official version of the game. If we’re talking something like D2, it’s kinda the opposite. Since the private servers inevitably have various differences from the real version, they are not the game in its entirety. Pirated copies are usually regarded as being the game in its entirety. ![]()
